In March 2020, I sat here and said, “Where should I begin?” It was a late night and my thoughts were floating along at an unnatural pace. We are all alone in our thoughts and spaces anyway but the world was experiencing a global deadly virus. Forcefully we had been shoved into a place that seems unbelievable. Many people, friends, family, lovers were physically apart. The reality of it was difficult to maintain. I thought to myself, It’s the worst of times ever in our lifetime.
Fast forward a year later. Looking back at the last administration--4 years of hell, it was the worst time ever in the history of our country. The narcissistic child in the WHITEHOUSE was a horror story for the history books and a nightmare for the American people,--the world. The residue--an ugly stain on our country.
Today, the remaining cult and GOP in lockstep with their furor is an ongoing conglomeration of lies, ignorance and ill service to democracy and the functioning of American politics to return themselves to power. Never mind caring for our country or improving the lives of its people. Not their plan. They pretend but it's obvious.
Policies don’t matter, democracy doesn’t matter, What matters is power. Wicked power to hold down the country while they feed at the trough, distracting from reality and sucking the blood out of our necks and playing footsie with Putin.
Thus we are dragging along like half dead zombies through quicksand trying to pull out of the nose dive they put us in whilst they block everything that is good for our country.
Thankfully, the devil is no longer in charge of the country. In fact he’s on his way to “his own personal
hell” and dragging the majority of the GOP with him like a Pied Piper. Yet out of the ashes perhaps a new GOP can grow from the rotten oyster.
After going seriously upside down and backwards for 4 F-ing years, it’s time to aim for extremes, in order to recover. No more excuses. No fooling. Thank God for the new administration which is driven by “The People” and is sensible, awake and ready. America is on a new path. We will catch up America. We can get on track when there's the political will to do so. We can set an example--It's time to stop making excuses.
It's time for BOLD new PROGRESSIVE action. Least we flounder backwards, we must get on with it and quickly. A GREEN NEW DEAL. YES, JUST DO IT.
